Who We Are
We are a theatre group based at the Galtres Centre in Easingwold in North Yorkshire.
Founded in 1989 the Easingwold Players produce at least two players a year. From classics such as She Stoop to Conquer, gems such as Waiting in the Wings, ensembles such as Happy Families and block busters such as Oliver and Peter Pan. Over 30 years we have explored many different varieties of drama much to the delight of our strong local fan base.
In April 2015 we produced our first Shakespeare. The Merchant of Venice, directed by Richard Wood, raised a couple of eyebrows in the local community. However, we allayed most people's fears and the feedback was very positive.
The Easingwold Players have a strong backing from the community and attempt to include all generations. The cast and crew often comprises of five year-olds working alongside seventy five year-olds. To find out more about how you can get involved please visit the Contact Us section of the website.
