a romantic comedy by Neil Simon

Newlyweds Corie (Hannah Spencer) and Paul Bratter (James Potter) have just moved into their miniscule sixth floor apartment in Greenwich Village, New York.

Stuffed-shirt Paul is a hard working young lawyer, whilst his starry-eyed wife is determined to create a romantic environment in a room with no heat and a hole in the skylight (in winter!).

Corie’s hopes are not helped by their bohemian neighbour Mr Velasco (Brian Goodyear).  She sets him up for a blind date with her neurotic mother (Bromwyn Jennison) and everything that can go wrong does go wrong.

Paul is so provoked that he throws his habitual caution to the winds and walks barefoot in the local park.

A 60’s classic,

Barefoot in the Park was made into a film starring Robert Redford and Jane Fonda, and is not to be missed
